How do we define creativity? Exploring this elusive question is one reason I started the podcast, because it manifests differently in all of us.

The dictionary defines creativity as “the use of the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work.” I would say that’s an apt, surface-level description, but it’s so much deeper than that. It’s hard to describe how creativity feels. It ebbs and flows, and trying to channel creativity can be both exhilarating and frustrating.

We’ve always explored and questioned our relationship with creativity on the blog. In fact we have an entire category devoted to it! So I was happy when Kristina suggested we also make it the focus of a podcast episode. It was fun to discuss our individual creative processes, how it drives us to shoot toys, what we do to channel it, and more.

This is of course just our experience with creativity, and we would love to hear yours! What do you do to stay creative? Are there things that help or hinder that creative drive in you? Continue the conversation with us in the comments below!
