I love playing Animal Crossing, so I was delighted when the Lego company introduced the Animal Crossing theme. While I plan to review all the Lego Animal Crossing sets in the future, this set #77052 – K.K.’s concert at the Plaza will be first since Resident services (Still a tent in the game) is the main hub where the action starts and the ultimate goal is to get K.K. to your island.

Thank you to Lego, which sent me this set to review from a photographer’s point of view. Although Lego provided me with the set, the opinions in this review are my own. Thank you to ToyPhotographers.com for arranging this review.

Greetings! My name is Isabelle, welcome to the review!  I am the secretary at Resident Services, I hope you enjoy your adventure around our Island!

About the Set

Set #77052 – KK’s concert at the Plaza

550 Pieces included 3 Mini Figs – Isabelle, Audie, and K.K.

The Resident Services building features some very interesting colors, from pastel colors to bright and vibrant.  In front of the building, just like the game, is a box with a tape deck in it, ready and waiting for that great group workout.

The flag is interchangeable, and the set comes with two flags.  As you can see in the picture above this set has a fall colored tree.

The Resident Services building with the second flag that comes with the set.

The inside of the Resident Services Building includes the recycling box, the ABD and of course Isabelle awaits to help you out with anything you need.  In Animal Crossing, the Resident Services (although it is a tent when you first start) is the first building you go to, and getting K.K. to come and give a concert is one of the big goals.

There is a cute little café where you can meet up with Audie, a wolf, sip on a drink, and order a snack.

K.K. arrives in a van (A tricky feat for an Island – I suppose he must have taken a ferry?) And if you remove the top you can access the inside.  K.K. Enjoys a drink and a quick slice of pizza en route.

The above images feature only the buildings, items and minifigs the set came with.  The following images have some additional minifigures and Lego pieces (The Town Square and a human minifigure) that are not included with the set – after all what better way for me to explore and take some fun images then send my Mini fig to the Island to meet the residents.

I have heard that some people think this series is too expensive, but I am assuming Lego has to pay for licensing, new molds for each animal and other things behind the scenes that have to be passed on to the consumer.  I am finding this set very enjoyable to photograph and as always with Toy Photography I love finding new and unique ways to photograph this set.

Audi the fox is joined by Julian from # 30703  Julians Beach Painting Polybag & Bunnie from # 77047 Bunnies Outdoor Adventures

My Minifig has traveled to the Island to enjoy a concert from K.K. Slider, The free song from K.K received if you request a song is a nice addition to the set.

I can be seen here (um, excuse me – I  mean my minifig) visiting with Audi the Fox to find out the best places to photograph on the island, however; I am attempting to stay out of the pictures since I much prefer being behind the camera. (Person Minifig does not come with set)

Audi enjoys a cup of tea, cakes and other fine delicacies at the cafe.

Audi and Isabelle enjoy a quick morning exercise session with the tape deck in front of resident services.

Photobomb!

After a quick chat with Tom Nook I have decided to move to the Island to see what adventure awaits, what better way to get some good pictures of the next set!  (er… I mean my Mini Fig will move to the Island)

Note: Tom Nook does not come with this set.  He is from set 77050 – Nooks Cranny and Rosie’s house.  It just did not seem like a photography session of Resident services would be complete without Tom Nook so I took the liberty of adding him.

I enjoyed photographing this set!  The set has some fun extras that I enjoyed photographing and trying different techniques.

Note: If you enjoyed this review and are interested in the animal crossing sets, many of them are scheduled to retire at the end of 2025.  I have found two dates for the scheduled retirement of this set, one being December 31, 2025, the other mid year of 2026, so if you are interested in the animal crossing sets you will want to plan accordingly.
