The Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and Antarctica. It was a bucket-list photography trip I had waited so long for. And it should have been an epic adventure filled with incredible scenery, icebergs, and gazillions of penguins. While we did have a few amazing days, windy winter weather and ice-blocked waterways made it a challenging journey. On top of that, the universe apparently had other ideas for me, and I ended up quarantined in my cabin for 5 days due to a positive COVID test. Thank goodness I (as usual) had a bunch of LEGO minifigures with me. It took quite a bit of ingenuity to come up with backgrounds and props using only what was available in my cabin during my “time-out”, but I managed to come up with this series of images. These are certainly not the best toy photos I’ve ever created, but I was sure happy to have those little minifigs with me – they definitely saved my sanity.
P.S. For the record, I did eventually get out and get some “real” toy photographs from the rest of the trip. I hope to share them soon.
Oh, so sorry about COVID, but what wonderful images!
You were amazingly creative while quarantined! I’m glad you got liberated before the trip was over!
Sorry about that darn Covid sneaking up on you. Glad you were able to make the best of it with some minifig friends. Fun photos!
