Join The Community

We have a growing community of talented toy photographers and a variety of ways for you to connect. You can watch behind the scenes on our Instagram, listen to creative talks on our Podcast, show off your work and get critiques on our MeWe Community, contribute to the blog with our six-image narratives and get toy pics in your inbox with our newsletter. Learn more about each below and we can’t wait to see your photos and toys!

The MeWe Community

In our MeWe Community we invite photographers to share their toy photographs, partake in monthly challenges, create photos for daily themed hash tags and ask for feedback. This is a fun and supportive community; always willing to share a kind word and their own knowledge with fellow toy photographers. You can find more information about the community here or you can join here.

The Podcast

Our newest offering is The Toy Photographers Podcast, hosted and produced by James Garcia. On the near weekly episodes, James alternates between interviewing members of the toy photography community and a conversation with fellow photographer Kristina Alexanderson. These conversations on a specific theme are designed to inspire other toy photographers to think about their stories as well as inspire them to look at photographs critically.

If you’re found this page, then welcome to the Toy Photographers family!

IG Live

Each Tuesday join Alan Rappa on Instagram Live and get a behind-the-scenes look at how toy photos are created.

Six-Image Narrative

We announced a unique series on our blog back in May 2017 called The Six Image Narrative. Since then we have featured about one hundred narratives from scores of different photographers in the toy photographer community. Have you ever considered submitting a six image narrative of your own? You should! Anybody who reads our blog and does toy photography is welcome to submit a six image narrative of their own for consideration.
