Let’s be real the Ocarina of Time: The Final Battle is exactly the type of LEGO set I want since it has lots of photo possibilities. It’s a perfect tribute to one of the greatest franchises in gaming history, Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 was one of my favorite games, and this set does it justice.

Whether you’re displaying the set, playing with it or taking photos of it this LEGO set is a lot of fun. Let’s dive in!

LEGO Design and Playability

The diorama format is great here. It looks incredible on a shelf because it is packed with dynamic movement and action. In a total throwback to classic design and is loaded with interactive play features and different ways to pose the characters.

Paying homage to a specific moment in the game, the LEGO set features the Megaton Hammer hidden away inside the ruined tower of Ganon’s Castle. Builders can stash it in the tower as a gameplay Easter egg, allowing the Link minifigure to grab it and fight Ganon just like players did back on the Nintendo 64.

The triforce is a great addition and will be a lot of fun to create Link photos with down the road.

The LEGO Zelda set cleverly captures the transformation from Ganon’s Castle tower to his final beast form. While the large, menacing build represents the monstrous Ganon, the minifig version has a pretty sweet little option to pop-up dramatizing the moment the he reveals himself from within the very fabric of his corrupted realm, ready to unleash his power.

The LEGO Minifigures

Link – This version of Link is fully equipped for the endgame, carrying the beautifully molded Hylian Shield and the legendary Master Sword.

Princess Zelda – She features an alternate expression to switch between royal composure and fierce battle readiness. Princess Zelda also comes with her Light binding spell to hold Ganon in place.

Ganon – He comes with a striking, dual-sided fabric cape, black on the outside and a vibrant red with gold accents on the inside, perfect for dramatic poses on his pop-up throne.

LEGO Link & Zelda Photo Opportunities

I love making it look like toys are in action. Meditating, jumping, running, something that separates my photos from others. Welp, LEGO made it way easier to create that action with this set. I almost photoshopped out the little clear stick that keeps Link and the ferry in flight from habit, but caught myself since this part of the actual LEGO set.

One of my all-time favorite Zelda photos is the simple Link holding his sword in the air. I have captured the scene with action figures before, but not LEGO.

Overall this LEGO set is a lot of fun to play with, but even more fun to capture photos of. I highly recommend.
