At our first Toy Photographers Virtual Meet-Up of the year, we challenged participants to collaborate in teams to create a six-image narrative. Today’s photography team of three includes Stephanie Baer (@stalagmitethrilla), Don Langley (@aztoyguy) and Cesar Leal (@tehkei).

In this episode of Dragon Ball Z, Goku protects Bulma and Krillin from the clutches of Captain Ginyu. Little does Goku know that powering up and using his speed causes more problems for Bulma and Krillin.

About the collaboration

“Once the team took inventory of our toys, we decided to do a Dragon Ball Z theme, based on some aspects of the cartoon, to which we added our own storyline. The plan was to each shoot a few images, then figure out how the images would portray the fight scene. This was a learning experience and we kept it open to both indoor and outdoor settings. We did decide that one of us would tone [edit] the images so the look and feel would match as best as possible.”
