What would a Stuck in Plastic event be without a little toy photography? If we can’t have a toy photography meet-up, why not a toy photography workshop?
On Saturday, November, 7th from 1:00 to 3:00pm Kristina and I will lead an introductory toy photography workshop. This will be a little more formal than our past toy photography meet-ups, but we would still like to share with whoever is interested, our passion for toys and all things photographic.
Some topics we will cover in our short time will be;
- A brief introduction and a little bit of our personal history
- How to use photography as a creative outlet
- How to bring your toys to life
- Toys, nostalgia and collecting
- Instagram and the toy photography community
- Photo tips specific to toy photography
- Editing basics
This is a hands on workshop so bring a few toys, a camera or a mobile phone and we will create a little magic within the four walls of the Bryan Ohno Gallery (or if the weather permits we can spill outside to one of the nearby city parks).
This should be a fun afternoon suitable for children and adults alike.
If you are interested in joining us, please contact the gallery, leave a note here or on our Facebook events page.
I hope to see you at the gallery on opening night November, 5th or for our Toy Photography Workshop on November, 7th!

Don’t worry if you don’t have any toys. I will bring along a few dinosaurs and LEGO mini figures to experiment with. 😀
I wish I could be there! This sounds like a wonderful opportunity for folks in Seattle, and I look forward to pictures and a report from the workshop. I still think you all should do a book for people who don’t live in your area.
