Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row.
Spring has well and truly sprung, and summer is making its moves. Our garden has gone from being relatively tamed to being almost completely overgrown.
We try to have big patches of grass and flowers for the bees to enjoy (and this year, quite a lot of blue dragonflies as well.) However, this does mean that all my favourite photo spots have become a little hard to access.
No moss covered stone, no apple tree branch. No half-rotting log. Not unless I want to dig around amongst the grass at any rate. Instead, there is a lot of green, a lot of grass, and a lot of difficulty in getting figures to stand up in the grass! So much grass in fact, that I’ve had to improvise and move a bit of log so I have somewhere to shoot. This one was from a tree we had chopped down recently.
Still, at least it all looks very pretty and has some beautiful green backgrounds.
Are you enjoying Spring? Has it inspired any photography from you? Let us know in the comments!

P.s. Don’t forget to fill in the UK Toy Photographers meet-up survey if there is a chance you can come! We’d love to have your input! You have another few days to fill it in!
There’s something about photographing toys outside like that. You’ve inspired me and I know this is something my kids will love once we’re back into Spring (live in Australia, so it’s well and truly Winter now!)
Those tiny flowers work so well with the LEGO scale!
