For me, Christmas is all about traditions. A season that is filled with special activities that we do with the special people in our lives. Every year, for as long as I can remember, my Mom and I would watch the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol starring Alistair Sim. We had to wait for that one night when the movie was shown on television. This was back in those old-school days of TV when there was no streaming. As years went on, and technology advanced, we would watch it on DVD at our convenience.

Charles Dickens wrote this famous tale in 1843 in only six weeks. From that original book, there have been countless versions of A Christmas Carol made over the years. The Alistair Sim version is my personal favorite, but coming in a strong second is The Muppets Christmas Carol with Michael Cain. Gonzo plays Charles Dickens, Kermit the Frog plays Bob Cratchit with Robin takes up the role of Tiny Tim. These six images are a mash-up of my two favorite movie versions of A Christmas Carol done with Funko pops.

All these years later, A Christmas Carol is not just a great story but a story that teaches us all that it’s never too late to show generosity and compassion to the people around us. Its message of change and redemption at any age is inspiring.

“A Merry Christmas to everybody! A Happy New Year to all the world. Hallo here! Whoop! Hallo!”― Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol
