Jimothy lives fairly close to me in Seattle, so I got a tiny version of him to create some photo adventures with.

In Case You Don’t Know Who Jimothy Is (How?!)…

Who is Jimothy? Jimothy is a wild raccoon who became a viral sensation due to a unique spinal condition that gives him a distinct, compact posture and a delightfully memorable walk. Despite his physical differences, Jimothy lives his best life roaming around, gathering fans across the globe, and proving that being different is a superpower in itself.

I started drawing my own version of Jimothy, but also found a really rad 3D printed and hand painted version of Jimothy by @torchlilly to capture some photos of. Now, back to the adventure!

Chapter 1: Beyond The Backyard

Jimothy heard the world was much larger than the backyards of the Ballard neighborhood in Seattle he calls home.

Jimothy decided it was adventure time and ventured to Kerry Park to take in the view of the Space Needle. He watched over the city, ready to leap into action or march off in search of snacks.

After taking in the city he wandered back into some backyards in search of snacks per usual.

While hunting for snacks, Jimothy spotted a piece of red cloth sticking out of a trash can. It was a sign. He draped the bright fabric over himself like a superhero cape—the vibe was undeniable. Standing atop a wooden fence, Jimothy looked less like a trash panda and more like a heroic protector patrolling the neighborhood.

Chapter 2: Jimothy In Training

Earth is in trouble and Jimothy might be the tiny hero we all need. Calls were sent all around the universe to help Jimothy’s training. They decided a remote island in Washington State would be a good meeting place.

The first being to show up was tiny Grogu who is about the same size as Jimothy. They ate lots of snacks and Grogu showed Jim how to use The Force.

After Jimothy’s session with Grogu, he met up with the landshark Jeff. The landshark was originally created by the villainous mad scientist M.O.D.O.K. as part of an army of genetically engineered “landsharks” intended to attack Los Angeles. When the West Coast Avengers defeated M.O.D.O.K., Gwenpool instantly bonded with one of the landsharks, named him Jeff, and adopted him as the team mascot. Since Jeff can walk, run, and breathe comfortably on land as well as swim underwater he taught Jimothy how to swim and some other sweet moves. You can see Jimothy’s new flip move HERE.

Next up was Luffy from One Piece who went on a stroll with Jimothy along the beach.

Luffy started to come up with superhero names for Jimothy like “Trash-Panda Man” or “Captain Round-Boi”, but Jimothy just wanted to stick with Jimothy.

Luffy quickly realizes Jimothy’s low center of gravity and round shape make him the ultimate projectile. Luffy grabs Jimothy, stretches his arm back 50 yards, and yells “GUM-GUM… JIMOTHY CANNON!” Jimothy also was able to master the Jimothy Cannon on his own and he now has a new move to battle evil with.

Luffy let Jimothy know the most important part of fighting evil isn’t being the strongest—it’s never backing down when someone needs help (I actually used an em dash there. It was not AI. I am tired of avoiding that punctuation. End mini rant.).

Jimothy got his fill of the beach and said farewell to Luffy and Jeff and ventured back to the woods.

Standing next to a tree was Rocket who Jimothy instantly thought he was related to. Where Luffy offered chaotic optimism, Rocket Raccoon brings pure, pragmatic cynicism and a very specific set of tactical skills.

“First off, kid: I ain’t a raccoon. I don’t know what you are (some kinda unenhanced, quadrupedal earth-critter), but don’t you go callin’ me one. We’re partners, got it?”

Jimothy nodded.

Rocket then teaches Jimothy how to stay low, elusive and zip behind heavy-armored guards, tie their boots together and sabotage their jetpacks. Jimothy has leveled up once again.

As Rocket and Jimothy wrap up, barking can be heard in the distance. The barking keeps getting closer and boom there is Krypto the Superdog. The first order of business was getting Jimothy a proper fitting cape and Krypto gave him one of his old ones. After that Krypto taught Jimothy to fly by simply running off a cliff and barking. Tiny Jimothy didn’t bark, but he did gasp as he leap of the cliff for his first successful flight.

They flew all over the Puget Sound and then landed back in Seattle where Jimothy was ready to start making the world a better place.

And that is Chapter 2 of the Adventures Of Tiny Toy Jimothy. The little hero has leveled up. He is a force user, learned how to move on land and water, has the “Jimothy Cannon” special move and all kinds of tactical skills.

I have some new characters in mind for the next chapter. If you have any suggestions don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments below.

Chapter 3: The Friendly Neighborhood Team-Up

Fresh off his flight training with Krypto, Jimothy gets a quick lesson in urban acrobatics. Spider-Man quickly learns that Jimothy’s compact, low-center-of-gravity posture makes him oddly aerodynamic underarm cargo. While soaring through the air, Spider-Man rambles on about “with great power comes great responsibility,” while Jimothy mostly keeps his eyes peeled for roof-top gardens and discarded snacks.

Every hero needs downtime. Spider-Man drops a boombox onto a fence post to blast some beats. Spidey opens up about balancing high school/job stress with superhero work, finding a surprisingly good listener in Jimothy. Jimothy nod-bobs along to the music, offering silent, grounded support (and occasionally attempting to pry open the boombox tape deck in search of shiny treats).

Spider-Man realizes Jimothy’s full potential by combining Luffy’s “Jimothy Cannon” with his own web shooters. Spidey slingshots Jimothy into action like a furry precision strike force. Armed with Rocket’s boot-tying tactical skills, Krypto’s flying confidence, and Luffy’s momentum, Jimothy becomes the ultimate secret weapon for taking down troublemakers across planet earth.
