This is a podcast episode six months in the making! After inviting Dave DeBaeremaeker onto the show in person at the Oregon Toy Photo Safari this May, we were finally able to sit down and record an interview.
And we’re back! Thank you for bearing with me for the last few weeks as I’ve been sick. I’m itching to get back into recording the podcast, and am excited to have recorded another one of our themed episodes with Kristina.
I’ve got an odd show lined up for you this week, as I recover from a cold and get back into the swing of things.
After a busy month of podcasting, it was fun and refreshing to reunite with Kristina to discuss our latest theme, “Reflections.”
After Sunny joined us on the podcast for the Lume Cube roundtable review, I immediately invited him back to do a full interview. He’s been on my list of hopeful guests since the podcast started, as he’s one of my favorite toy photographers and has such a unique style.
Get ready for a big episode of the podcast this week, because I interviewed Johnny Wu, aka SgtBananas! Johnny has been called an “Instagram sensation” by outlets like the Wall Street Journal and Yahoo, had a book of his work published by Dynamite Comics, and has worked with big companies …
Our coverage of the Lume Cube and their toy photography contest continues on the podcast this week, with another roundtable discussion! This time Shelly, Brett and I are joined by our good friend Sunny Ang, aka @zekezachzoom.
This week on the podcast, I interviewed Lume Cube’s head of marketing, Trevor Farrow, to discuss the upcoming toy photography contest happening throughout the rest of the month!
I may be biased, but I’m thrilled for this month’s themed episode of the podcast. This was one of our best themes to date. So good in fact, that we invited a special guest onto the show to discuss it!
Get ready for some 1980s nostalgia, because this week on the pod I interviewed Eric Ronnebeck, aka @intangibledandy!
Now that we’ve tried taking Still Life photography with toys, Kristina and I have moved on to another classic photography style: Landscapes!
I’ve written before about my own struggle with depression and how I’ve used toy photography as a therapy. So it should come as no surprise that my ears perked up when I first discovered #WithToysInMind on Instagram.
In a very special edition of the podcast, I’m joined by Shelly and Brett to discuss our recent LEGO Ideas Voltron project! Form Voltron! Due to scheduling conflicts and the last-minute nature of this recording, I wasn’t able to assemble all of our Voltron Paladins. Anna, David and Janan were sadly absent …
On this week’s episode of the podcast, Kristina and I tackle Still Life photography!
This week we’re jumping into hyperspace and travelling to a unique corner Toy Photography universe, because I interviewed Belgian photographer Brecht Cuppens, who goes by @xwingtmgphotography on Instagram.
This week’s episode of the podcast is a special one, because it’s the first show with two guests! And if that wasn’t exciting enough, we’re recapping the Oregon Toy Photo Safari.
This week on the podcast, I’m chatting with Canadian LEGO photographer Blake Powell, AKA BlvdBricks!
Because of the prep leading up to the meetup this weekend, I didn’t have time to edit my latest interview for the podcast…
This week’s podcast guest is none other than our very own Lizzi Standing!
