Welcome to The Toy Photographers Blog, a blog for and about toy photography. I’m so glad that you’re here and that you’ve found us. This blog is a place to talk about toy photography, to hear from other creative people who take toy photographs and learn how to be a better toy photographer.
Its time to shake this blog up and see where we land.
I hate to bore myself and I really don’t want to bore you. In an effort to keep us ALL interested, I’ve decided to shake things up a bit. Since there’s no one around to stop me and tell me this is a crazy idea, I decided to go for it. Continue reading Lets Shake the Blog Up!
On behalf of Boris, Vesa, Mike and myself, I want to officially welcome Brett Wilson to the Stuck in Plastic team!
Yes, I realize that’s a really weird statement to make since Brett has been writing a weekly post for the blog since April of this year. He has been one of many guest posters that have been gracious enough to share their knowledge, wisdom and experiences with this community. But in the last few months he has moved beyond being a very reliable guest poster to being a reliable and insightful member of our little group. Continue reading Welcome Brett Wilson!
Have you seen the latest collectable mini figure series? You know, the one that features the Penguin Suit Guy, Banana Suit Guy, Serenader, Spy, Imp, Ice Queen etc… Would you like a complete set of all 16 mini figures? Continue reading Series 16 Mini Figure Give Away!
As we’re preparing for our next article for Bricks Culture I thought I would share an excerpt from our last article about how to take your toys on vacation. If you would like to read the entire article and see all the photographs contributed by members of the Stuck in Plastic family, I encourage you to order a digital or print copy of issue #6.
I’m so excited to be announcing our first LEGO toy photography contest!
As many of you know we have an ongoing relationship with the folks at Bricks Culture to write about toy photography and showcase the work of our amazing community. Our first article was a brief introduction to toy photography while our second article talked about the fun of taking toys on vacation with you. Our third article is on robots, a topic near and dear to all of us here at Stuck in Plastic.
For each of our articles we need to submit awesome photos… and this is where you come in. We want to see your amazing photos of robots; LEGO robots come in many shapes and sizes; they run the gamut from mechs to Wall-E, from original MOCs to mini figures. We want to feature as many amazing photographs from this community as we can. Continue reading Our First Contest!
Yesterday I was poking around the backend of the blog as I often do, cleaning out the spam subscribers, checking on comments, seeing what the views are on the latest post when I noticed a little yellow light next to the word “feedback”. Now I know enough about WordPress to know that a little yellow box usually means something needs to be attended to, so I checked it out. Continue reading Mea Culpa
