I’m giddy with excitement about this week’s podcast episode! I interviewed French photographer Karine Linder, whose unique toy photos are posted under the moniker Eat My Bones.

Karine is unlike any other photographer I’ve had on the show, because her subjects of choice are called Pose Skeletons, from Japanese company Re-Ment. She didn’t set out to become a toy photographer – she had picked up a skeleton while visiting Japan, and later began using him to add flare to her travel photos. Before long, she added more skeletons to her collection, and now sees them as a family unit – the father and mother, Edgard and Rebecca, and their son, Peter. They even have skeleton pets!

I found Karine’s work over in our Google+ community, and immediately fell in love with it. I tracked down her contact information, and actually interviewed her for the podcast back in February. I was curious about why she photographs skeletons, and in such a unique way. It was wonderful chatting with her, and I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did. You can listen to it now on iTunes, Google Play, or wherever you get your podcasts, and of course it’s embedded right here:

If you want to see more of Karine’s work – and keep up up with the adventures of Edgard and his family! – I encourage you to follow her on her blog, Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, and Google+.
